There *came a woman of Samaria to draw water. Jesus *said to her, “Give Me a drink.” John 4:7 NASB

What a revealing conversation-starter. It forces me to ask prayerfully, “If You, LORD, asked me for something to drink, what would I have to give”?

Then He reveals that HE, Jesus is the Spirit-filled Spring from which His followers are fed. Like one Tributary into others, into the Great Ocean of God’s Kingdom.

So what am I missing, Jesus? Seeking? Abiding? Trusting? Show me all about myself as You did for her. Not to prove Your divinity (I know You are God), but to pull back the curtain hiding my laziness, my distractions, my short-sightedness.

For myself, I hear: Diligence. Consistency. Faithfulness. Then the letting go that I desperately need to do happens organically, as we grow even closer. That is my study, and that is my charge. Thank You, Holy Spirit.
